Can menswear go beyond the traditional? Yes, but you have to be able to wear it. Brankopopovic’s collection at FAT tries to create the harmonious marriage of futuristic design and functional menswear. Unlike other designers, he succeeds. The idea of walking about with pointy shoulders may not appeal to every gay man, but those who love "notice-me" clothes will love this label. One of the best things about Brankopopovic’s vision is that it's creative without being ridiculous.
There are many labels, such as WL&T, that create outlandish garments for runway shock value but the pieces can’t be worn in regular life. But in this case, there were a few that might end up as everyday clothes, and not as costume fodder.
