Brazil’s annual Carnival is known for its half-naked men and high-energy music. Check and check when DJ Bruno Pacheco makes his Canadian debut at fly. Why are Brazilians so damned attractive? “Maybe it’s because of the way we have fun and our moods. We’re uplifting people — it’s in our culture,” laughs Pacheco, whose tendency to go shirtless promises to be very uplifting. “I’ve never been to Canada before. When I was travelling as a model, I met some Canadians who were always very polite and kind. I’m sure it won’t be different once I get there.” Pacheco’s handsome face and sizzling abs have graced runways, magazine pages and television commercials, but, he insists, “DJing is harder than modelling. You can’t make a mistake. If the music goes wrong the party doesn’t go well and people complain.” But with his obvious enjoyment behind the decks, Pacheco makes DJing look effortless. “Music is awesome because it gives you great moments and memories. It makes people dance, and dancing is sexy.”
