Céline Dion: Canada’s pride and joy

Bieber being raised to take up her unironic sequins when she dies

01.01.2012

So, I saw Bliss at Buddies tonight, and I think I’m on a bit of a Céline Dion high.

I remember when I was about 10, my mother bought All the Way . . . A Decade of Song, which I quickly liberated from the family CD player. Late at night, in my room, completely unironically, with my very first Discman, I would listen to it on a loop. My absolute favourite song was “To Love You More.” I didn’t know I was queer, and I certainly didn’t know what love was, but that was my song with Céline.

Not that we all need to be reminded of how amazing Dion is, but I figure she’s a great way to get you through your Friday afternoon. Here is a compilation of Céline moments put together by a favourite blogger of mine. No need to thank me.
