Thomas Giddings is not new to being behind the scenes at fashion shows. With official behind-the-scenes shooting a foundation of his work, he moved up to shooting for publications such as British
Vogue.
Giddings has put together a piece focusing on China as a growing influence in the fashion industry, looking at the lives of
four Chinese male models. It's as much a piece of portraiture as a work of film. He looks at their lives and work simply, without any verbal comment. He explains, “I wanted to capture the downtime and follow each of the boys in a subtle way, telling the story through their characters, rather than through the clothes.”
Giddings follows the careers of Rui Wang, Liu Chang, Hao Yun Xiang and Zhao Lei. Pretty boys, pretty clothes, pretty amazing video!
