Halloween is here! And to help answer that age-old question - “What are you dressing as this year ?” - Fab checked out the Amazing Party & Costume store, Canada’s largest dress-up shop. The mission was to find out what's popular this year and how the store has kept going strong for two decades.
 
Using life-size zombies, ghouls, skeletons and creatures, the staff spent weeks creating elaborate sets both in and outside the store. Owner Shawn Hamilton says the reason he decided to open the store, which is celebrating its 20th anniversary, was that "there was a void in the market where you could get amazing costumes, accessories and decorations all in one place." They also carry lighting, fog machines, lawn decorations and fireworks.
 
If you want to get really technical, book an appointment with their in-house special-effects makeup artist to create a look of your own. 
 
If you can’t get all the way out to the store, there’s also an online shop, featuring costumes ranging from Edward Scissorhands to Steampunk to Lady Gaga to Katy Perry (whipped-cream bra and all).
 
For last-minute shoppers, the store has extended Halloween hours: 9am till midnight until Oct 27, and 9am to 9pm from Oct 28 to 31.  Unpleasant dreams! — Mikey Sin
