Lady Gaygay

Some South Koreans want to pray away the Gaga

02.01.2012

Mother Monster has landed in Seoul, South Korea, to begin the Born This Way Ball, the latest Lady Gaga worldwide tour. The Advocate reports, “In advance of the first shows on Friday, 300 Protestants led a group prayer against the pop goddess — they believe she promotes homosexuality and promiscuity.”

I’m sorry . . . but, “they believe”? Is there really anyone who would contest that Lady Gaga is actively promoting homosexuality? I think Lady Gaga would agree that she promotes homosexuality! It doesn’t matter that Gaga believes in spreading love and acceptance, or even that she's Christian, because she’s not the right kind of Christian.

Really, though, I think we can dispense with “they believe.” Have they not seen the "Alejandro" music video?! I believe it’s fair to say you aren’t doing Gaga justice unless you say, “She promotes homosexuality.” As she herself once said, “On a gay scale from 1 to 10, I'm a Judy Garland fucking 42.”

Goddamn right.
