Remember a few weeks ago when I said that North Star is making a comeback? I wasn’t, and they aren’t, kidding around. Only two weeks after the resurrected line’s launch at Yorkville’s Over the Rainbow, North Star has released a limited-edition collection aimed at the artsy and less well-heeled fashionista. The collection, which is full of reinterpretations of a moose, bear and the legendary Participaction slogan, comes in a rainbow of colours -- just in time for Pride. This collection ranges from $30 for a tank to $90 for a hoodie. Geoff McFetridge, the Canadian-born artist responsible for the designs, also started the design studio Champion Graphics, which has done projects for Nike, Pepsi, Stussy and Burton Snowboards. Hipster hangout Magic Pony is hosting the collection and, like anything limited, once it’s gone, it’s done.
