The kid who made Obama president wants marriage equality in Maine

03.01.2012

“They are young, rich, smart and good-looking. It’s a pretty powerful combination," says political strategist Richard Socarides of Chris Hughes and his fiancé, Sean Eldridge. Hughes, one of the co-founders of Facebook and a key figure in the Obama campaign for presidency, donated $100,000 to Mainers United for Marriage, an organization working to pass a legislative measure that would make same-sex marriage legal in the Pine Tree State.

The influential power-couple hope to sway voters who recently repealed a measure that would legalize gay marriage in Maine, although the Protect Marriage Maine PAC campaign manager believes that, with the recent constitutional amendment in North Carolina, “traditional marriage” will win out. Funny, this recent article on the "5 Ways Conservatives are Destroying the Institution of Marriage," although a little dry, paints a different picture.

I asked Dennis the same thing about her siestr and niece like three weeks ago. The siestr was there for one episode and vanished. It seems like they're becoming less and less characters and more just a means to an end. Brian
