“It’s just guys in their underwear dancing. It’s sexy, not a sex party,” Todd Klinck says. The Gitch parties at Goodhandy’s have grown into a giant slumber-party-type event. Unlike TNT parties, where genitals must be exposed, Gitch fellas keep it covered up, sporting as much or as little thread as they want.
So how does it actually work? Are there locker rooms? Clothes lines?
“You come in clothes and it’s like a coat check, but it’s a clothes check,” Klinck says.”You check what you wanna check without going all the way naked. It’s underwear or more.”
Could there be a more liberating dress code? Gone are the days of peeling off your shirt when you get too hot to dance; thanks to Gitch you can also take off your pants to properly air things out.
Voyeurs are welcome, but Klinck says the majority of the mixed crowd are participaters. “I didn’t wanna have something for just young people,” he says. “The party has variety, and it’s a surprisingly decent-looking crowd. Decent-looking, comfortable people. It’s almost like the Catholic school uniforms. Everyone’s equal in their uniform . . . everyone’s equal once they're in their underwear.”
The next Gitch is a beach party! Underwear and bathing suits of all shapes and sizes are welcome.
