You might have noticed film trucks and camera crews scattered throughout the village lately. Well don’t worry, they aren’t filming the real housewives of Church St., it’s actually the filming of a gay feature film called
Seek directed by Eric Henry.
Centred around Evan (Adrian Shepherd-Gawinski
), Seek is the story of a small-town turned big city gay who is making his way as a young reporter. On assignment to write a feature story about Toronto's nightlife for a major paper, Evan meets Hunter (Ryan Fisher), a calculating and cocky nightclub promoter who invites Evan to tag along with him. The film follows Evan's struggle to keep up in the fast-paced city all the while dealing with his lost love, Jordan (Matthew Ludwinski).

Fab visited the set at Fly Nightclub and caught up with Matthew who plays Evan's lost love Jordan. A charming fashion model with abs of steel (check out his pic!), being a sex symbol and muse to the other characters isn't much of a challenge for Matthew who has a couple of make-out scenes in the film. The LA native has had a taste of Toronto gay nightlife only from what he's seen on set at Flash, Zippers, and Fly, but says he enjoys the city because of its pleasant, clean and quiet nature.
The director is delighted to have an international presence in the film and is pleased with the performances of all the cast. "We've had some fun times," says Eric. "There are some simulated sex scenes in a backroom, and that's new for some of the guys."
Despite obstacles like weather and building maintenance problems, filming has been running smoothly for Eric and his crew. "We've just been rolling with the punches. There's a lot of people who have been really helpful and supportive of us. We're working really hard to make the biggest look that we can with our small budget."
