VIDEO: Boys who love boys who love Star Wars

In the Fringe Festival last year, there was a live Dungeons & Dragons performance piece, and Michael Hughes’ show about his relationship with gay-icon Judy Garland. Smush those two experiences together, throw in a few dick jokes, and you probably have the makings of an amazing, flamboyant epic: Gay Nerds.

They’re also doing hilarious webisodes! In the first episode, Ralphie (Robert Keller) is accompanied by his friends Sammy (Ryan Kerr) and Lana (Alexandra Wylie) as he drops of his evil ex’s stuff. A fantastic parody of Jurrasic Park with homosexual flair. Will Ralphie survive his evil ex? Will he be “dickmatized”? Will these adorable performers survive a stint of meta-theatre? The Fringe Festival runs from July 4-15 all over the city, and Gay Nerds will be playing in the Factory Theatre Mainspace, 125 Bathurst St.
